Digital Quality of Life 2023: France leader in “digital quality of life”

France is at the top of the world list of countries blessed by accessible and quality internet.

The Surfshark site has established its Digital Quality of Life Index (DQL) for 2023, i.e. the digital quality of life index for a total of 121 countries, or 92% of the world population.

DQL, global ranking of “digital well-being”

Concretely, this is a global ranking of “digital well-being” based on five factors: the price of the Internet, its quality (stability and speed), electronic infrastructure, electronic security and availability state digital services. Taking all these factors into account, we find France in 1st position, a good progression compared to the 4th place occupied last year. Just behind are Finland, Denmark, and Germany.

DQL, classification by category

In detail, France is in 1st position for the lowest price category (7th in 2022), 5th for connection quality (8th in 2022), 16th for infrastructure (15th in 2022), 13th for security (11th in 2022) and 11th for digital access to government services (13th in 2022).
