Klipsch Reference Premiere 2022 series, 11 new speakers: towers, bookcases, Dolby Atmos, central units and subwoofers...

In addition to the new series of Klipsch Reference Base loudspeakers already presented in our columns, the American manufacturer unveiled a few weeks ago the new Reference Premiere series with eleven models. Here again, we start the presentations with the columns before returning to the surrounds, the centrals, the subwoofers and the Dolby Atmos module.

The American manufacturer did not do things by halves for the new Klipsch Reference Premiere series with a total of eleven references. Regardless of the desired Hi-Fi or, of course, Home Cinema configuration, the Klipsch Reference Première 2022 series is there.

Klipsch Reference Premiere RP-8060FA II, RP-8000F II, RP-6000F II and Klipsch RP-5000F II

As indicated in the introduction of this news, we begin the presentations with the four floorstanding speakers Klipsch RP-8060FA II, Klipsch RP-8000F II, Klipsch RP-6000F II and Klipsch RP-5000F II (see photo below). above from left to right).

While the last three mentioned differ mainly according to the size and number of boomers on board (see the specifications of each model below), the first integrates a Dolby Atmos (Height) module directly at its top made up of a 2.5 cm tweeter and a 16.51 cm midrange-boomer in the Up-Firing position (facing the ceiling, see photo above). Everything is of course tilted at 15° to meet the specifications of Dolby Laboratories.

Klipsch Reference Premiere 2022, acoustic package

Technically, the Klipsch Reference Premiere speakers incorporate all of the brand's audio DNA, starting with a 90° x 90° Tractrix horn with wide distribution and in edge-to-edge configuration (the horn occupies the entire width of the speaker, see photo above of the Klipsch R-800F) for sound dispersion but also maximum precision and clarity. This horn is associated with a ventilated titanium LTS (Linear Travel Suspension) tweeter for minimum distortion. Similarly, the new woofers benefit from the Klipsch Cerametallic process (thin sprayed copper layer) and a new voice coil with a 70% larger diameter offering increased control of the cones for perfect linearity. In the end, the crew further improves the reproduction of the base frequencies. We can cite the presence of aluminum rings, always with a view to reducing distortion as much as possible.

Klipsch Reference Premier 2022, Dolby Atmos RP-500SA II speaker connectors

Last details, the Klipsch Reference Premiere 2022 speakers, like the Klipsch Reference Base 2022, feature magnetic grilles, a scratch-resistant wood-effect vinyl finish and, of course, copper-colored cones, a trademark of brand factory. Note for these 2022 models, the absence of screws on the front for a magnified aesthetic. We still notice an ingenious and perfectly placed system of connectors on the Dolby Atmos Klipsch RP-500SA II speakers (presentation to come) and the RP-8000F II, RP-6000F II and RP-5000F II towers to facilitate the addition of the first named on the seconds. It's practical, simple and it avoids long cables to manage behind the speakers.
