New Meta “Cambria” VR/VR headset in September?

Meta - formerly Facebook - could release no less than four virtual reality headsets by the end of 2024.

According to sources from The Information, Meta is currently developing four virtual reality headsets which will be launched successively before the end of 2024. Products that fit naturally into the company's "metaverse" initiative.

"Cambria" mixed reality headset to replace the computer?

The first model should be marketed as early as September this year, and it was already mentioned at the end of 2021 by Meta under the code name "Cambria". This is a high-end mixed reality headset - either VR and AR (virtual reality and augmented reality) - more work-oriented than leisure. Meta CEO -Mark Zuckerberg- even referred to it as a work computer replacement, just that.

AR/VR headset release schedule until 2024

The headset has outward facing cameras (for AR) and should cost a minimum of $799. Then will come in 2023 a new version of the Quest helmet, and finally in 2024 new versions of the Cambria and Quest.
