Christopher Nolan's Odyssey: Full movie trailer

The Odyssey, Christopher Nolan's highly anticipated new film, has finally released a full trailer, unveiled by Universal Pictures after its initial airing on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
After a first teaser released nearly a year before the film's premiere, a 5.5-minute prologue shown in IMAX before the screening of Avatar 3, and then a teaser trailer released online in December, this new video reveals the scale of the project. And the least one can say is that Nolan seems to have fully embraced Homer. Beyond the key, fleeting yet already spectacular scenes—the Trojan Horse, the storm, the confrontation with the Cyclops—what is most striking in this epic and dazzling trailer is the emotional intensity visible on the actors' faces. Matt Damon appears utterly possessed, Tom Holland seems consumed by the ordeal, while Anne Hathaway sends shivers down your spine in a single shot. Everything suggests that Nolan's Odyssey could well conclude as a masterpiece. The only slight drawback, perhaps: despite the power of the images and the majesty of the setting, the film's universe is not yet fully grasped. The trailer is impressive, but it mainly gives the feeling of a world still held at a distance, as if Nolan were saving the essence of his breathtaking experience for the theater. Never Troy Without Him! The film tells the story of Odysseus, king of Ithaca, and his perilous journey home after the Trojan War. It explores the major themes of Homeric epics: heroism, loyalty, cunning, temptation, but also the struggle against the will of the gods. Several iconic episodes from the epic will be featured, including the encounter with the Cyclops Polyphemus, the song of the Sirens, and the visit to Circe, goddess and sorceress, culminating in the long-awaited reunion with Penelope. The cast includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong'o, Charlize Theron, Benny Safdie, Elliot Page, John Leguizamo, Himesh Patel, Bill Irwin, Jon Bernthal, Mia Goth, and Corey Hawkins. The first major studio feature film shot entirely in IMAX. Christopher Nolan shot over 600 km of film during a 91-day shoot, using brand-new IMAX technology. The film is being touted as the first major studio feature film shot entirely in this format. With a running time announced to be less than 3 hours, The Odyssey will be released in French cinemas on July 15, 2026.
