In recent weeks, numerous videos and set photos have circulated on social media. They notably show a damaged Batmobile, major chase scenes involving the police, a Batman seemingly on the run, as well as several sequences with a child. Enough to fuel all kinds of speculation.For now, no precise clue has leaked regarding the plot or the film’s possible adversaries. Rumors notably mention Two-Face, Victor Zsasz, or even the Court of Owls.
Toward a radical reinterpretation of Batman?
Pattinson has not clarified anything on this point. On the contrary, he suggests that the film will be very different from previous Batman adventures in theaters, including the first installment. When asked by MyMovies.it, he explains: “It’s simply incredible. The script has taken a rather radical direction, and it’s great that Warner Bros. and DC support that. It’s completely crazy. I think Matt Reeves is the only person who would be allowed to do something like that, because it really is a radical reinterpretation of Batman. I think people are going to be excited.”

Comments that echo those previously made by Matt Reeves, who explained that the film would go “even further in the exploration of Bruce Wayne’s character” and that his approach to the villain would offer something that “has never really been done in cinema before.” Pattinson also adds that the film will be “visually different from the first” and that it will take “a completely different direction.”
Filming reportedly recently completed a three-week session in downtown Glasgow. Other shoots are planned in several regions of the United Kingdom until the end of the year. Scarlett Johansson, Sebastian Stan, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, Jeffrey Wright, Charles Dance, Jayme Lawson, Gil Perez-Abraham, Sebastian Koch and Brian Tyree Henry are also in the film’s cast, with its release scheduled for February 2028.
