À l’occasion de l’IFA 2026, TP-Link a présenté ses tous premiers produits compatibles avec le nouveau format Wi-Fi 8 : le routeur Archer 8 Ultra et le système Wi-Fi Mesh Deco 8 Ultra. Reposant sur la future norme IEEE 802.11bn, les nouveaux produits TP-Link embarquent respectivement les processeurs Wi-Fi 8 de Broadcom et de Qualcomm.
Le Wi-Fi 8 Stability Engine, moteur de la nouvelle génération
Ces deux références s’appuient en outre sur le nouveau Wi-Fi 8 Stability Engine de TP-Link, qui permet de renforcer la couverture sans-fil, mieux gérer la congestion du réseau et réduire les interférences de manière à assurer une connexion plus stable et homogène. Ce moteur tire parti de nouvelles technologies comme l'ELR (Enhanced Long Range) et le DRU (Distributed Resource Units) pour étendre la portée aux limites du foyer, mais aussi du NPCA (Non-Primary Channel Access) et de l'UEQM (Unequal Modulation) pour maintenir les débits même dans des environnements très saturés.
Archer 8 Ultra router, up to 19 Gbps
In detail, the Archer 8 Ultra (codename BN800, see photo above) is a tri-band Wi-Fi 8 router that can deliver an aggregate Wi-Fi throughput of 19 Gbps, with Ethernet connections up to 10 gigabits per second. It incorporates 18 high-performance internal antennas for this purpose. Its design is intended to blend into living spaces, with a minimalist architectural shape, a two-tone grille and soft status lighting replacing the usual intrusive LEDs. For the European market, it is designed to cover an area of up to 280 square meters.
Deco 8 Ultra Mesh system, designed for more than 200 devices
As for the Deco 8 Ultra (BN85, see photo below), it is a tri-band Wi-Fi 8 Mesh system capable of reaching a cumulative Wi-Fi throughput of up to 22 Gbps worldwide, 19 Gbps for the European version. It features a 5T5R antenna configuration and wired connectivity of up to 10 gigabits per second. TP-Link specifies that a pack of three modules can cover up to 910 m² and support more than 200 connected devices. Its design has also been reworked with organic edges, a compact format, a matte body and a glossy top.
TP-Link will reveal full details about the Archer 8 Ultra and the Deco 8 Ultra at a global online launch event scheduled for September 30, 2026. Product rollout will begin with the launch of the Archer 8 as early as October 2026. Indicative prices are still unknown.
