Demonstrated last week at the High End trade show in Munich, Pure Audio Streaming is a [abc]Hi-Fi[/abc] streaming service that is scheduled to debut in mid-summer, on July 25th.
Pure Audio Streaming, Qobuz and Tidal in sight££££
Sure, streaming of high-resolution stereo content has been available for a few years through services like Apple Music, Qobuz or Tidal, but this is not the case for multi-channel audio content. While some services still offer "three-dimensional" listening experiences through support for Dolby Atmos and spatial audio technology, the audio streams offered are compressed and lossy. But that was then!
Pure Audio Streaming aims to be the world's first lossless immersive audio streaming service, designed for purists who demand uncompromising sound fidelity. The platform offers optimized quality on the go, but also for premium stereo and home theater systems, in addition to exclusive high-resolution content, claiming the title of the ultimate streaming solution for demanding audiophiles.

Two subscriptions will be on the menu. A "stereo" offer delivering high-resolution stereo sound (up to 192 kHz in [abc]PCM[/abc]) and binaural (PCM 48 kHz via Auro technology), and an "immersive" offer offering PCM [abc]5.1[/abc] and PCM 7.1.4 96 kHz streams (via Auro 3D technology). In addition to the smartphone, to benefit from it at launch, it will be necessary to connect via HDMI to a compatible amplifier either an nVidia Shield TV Pro media player, a Fire Stick 4K 2023 (Fire Cube support coming soon) or a Mac (2021 or newer)/Windows computer through the Chrome browser.
Pure Audio Streaming announces a library of more than 300 recordings for the opening of the service on July 25, including the Grammy Award-winning LUX disc from 2L Records. The prices of these offers are still being kept secret at the time of writing. However, in light of the offers reserved for the most motivated among you (the famous "Early Adopters"), normally more attractive to ensure the launch, this promises to be expensive. Expect $300 for a one-year subscription, $500 for a pack with an nVidia Shield TV Pro box.
