The new Ocean's 11 will take place in Monte-Carlo in 1962 during the Monaco Grand Prix. It will be more of a remake of the original film of the same name which dates from 1960 and stars Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr. and Angie Dickinson.
A little Hitchcock, a lot of Monte Carlo
Jay Roach (Scandal, Austin Powers), director of the film, adds that Hitchcock's The Hand in a Collar will also be one of the film's influences. A well-informed source specifies that the film will be titled Oceans and that Robbie and Gosling will play the parents of Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and Debbie Ocean (Sandra Bullock).
