IFA 25 > Samsung 110" RGB Micro LED TV at the IFA show in Berlin?
09.08.2025 • 12h26
Remember, a few months ago, we mentioned the possibility of Samsung adding a Micro LED RGB TV to its 2025 TV range (see our news Samsung 115" Micro LED RGB TV in June 2025?). This seems more relevant than ever according to the daily newspaper The Chosun, which informs us of a possible official reveal of a suitable 110" (279 cm) television at the next IFA show in Berlin, which will be held in early September.
According to the South Korean media outlet The Chosun, Samsung Electronics is seriously considering creating a stir by presenting to the world a new 110" television based on Micro LED RGB technology in a few weeks at the IFA Berlin 2025 show. Micro LED RGB TV, nothing to do with Micro LED screens££££ Last January, at the CES show in Las Vegas, the Asian manufacturer had already unveiled such a specimen, in a 98-inch version. As a reminder, competing brands Hisense and TCL presented prototype screens in Las Vegas based on the same transmissive technology, i.e. a backlight associated with an [abc]LCD[/abc] panel, however the name Mini [abc]LED[/abc] was used. When questioned on the subject in Las Vegas, the Samsung firm indicated that the Mini LEDs embedded in its model were even smaller, hence the name Micro LED. Be careful, however, this name has nothing to do with the Micro LED televisions exhibited by the brand has been on its stands for many years now (see The Wall model in 2018), based on self-emissive Micro LED technology, the mass production of which is still not on the agenda.
For its part, the Micro LED RGB television is much more concrete and should be included in the Samsung catalog quickly. Several diagonals are also mentioned behind the scenes: 75", 85", 98", 115" and now 110 inches. The Chosun indicates that Samsung would consider this new type of television as a major and crucial asset in the face of increasingly competitive Chinese brands, particularly in the premium TV market. The brand would therefore plan to market such diffusers at the end of 2025 to defend its leading position in the high-end LCD screen market.
