"A first in the audio world" assures the manufacturer Teufel, with this portable network speaker. Equipped with audiophile performance, according to its creator, the Motiv XL exists to meet the needs of music lovers who are increasingly numerous and prefer integrated, autonomous solutions with smooth ergonomics, but always without compromising on quality.

To achieve its goals, the Berlin brand has decided to bet on "Deutsche Qualität" with a three-way [abc]bass-reflex[/abc] speaker in [abc]2.1[/abc] configuration with an imposing size (almost four times the volume of a Sonos Play:5, that's saying something!), 560 x 251 x 589 mm and 13.1 kg on the scale. In short, it's heavy, in relation to its equipment: two [abc]tweeters[/abc] with 30 mm fabric dome located at the top and at the ends of the front panel, two [abc]midranges[/abc] with 85 mm Kevlar membrane placed under the tweeters to the right and left of the front panel, a [abc]woofer[/abc] with 200 mm Kevlar membrane placed in the center of the front panel. The total power delivered by a Class D amplification displays 210 W distributed as follows: 2 x 15 W for the tweeters + 2 x 30 W for the midranges + 120 W for the woofer.
The sound capabilities of the Teufel Motiv XL are commensurate, for example with a bandwidth of 38 Hz-35 kHz, a 96 kHz/24-bit DAC and a maximum sound level of 103 dB SPL. Lastly, the patented Dynamore technology, which widens the stereo image, is also present.

The software section of the Teufel Motiv XL speaker offers rich connectivity: multiroom functions [abc]AirPlay 2[/abc], [abc]Chromecast (integrated)[/abc], [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 4.2, Amazon Music, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect are all part of it. The same goes for access to [abc]web radios[/abc]. We must also mention the management of Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa voice assistants.
For its part, the connectivity includes a 3.5 mm mini-jack input, an XLR microphone input/6.3 mm headphone output and a [abc]USB[/abc]-A port. The latter allows the charging of a connected device, the Teufel Motiv XL speaker also acting as a Power Bank.
Finally, the Roon Ready label is used for optimal management of your music library and the battery (removable and therefore replaceable) offers a battery life of approximately 13 hours.
