So it was on Valentine's Day that the director of the Joker sequel, Todd Phillips, decided to publish the first photo of Lady Gaga in Joker: madness for two, currently in filming.

The actress and singer stars as Harley Quinn in the film which stars Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), a mentally ill aspiring stand-up clown, until he becomes the dreaded Joker. The sequel is said to be set almost exclusively in Gotham City's Arkham Asylum and is expected to be, at least for a good part, a musical (format which would be related to the Joker's hallucinations).
Todd Phillips is directing the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Scott Silver. Filming is currently continuing in New York and Los Angeles. The film's release date is already scheduled for October 4, 2024.
