Atlas the robot, ready for the World Cup?

The approaching FIFA World Cup is no coincidence in this charming series of "School of Football" videos released by robotics veteran Boston Dynamics. We see the Atlas robot learning and reproducing some of the most iconic moves of France's favorite sport, from warm-up exercises to the most cunning tricks, including shots on target and even celebration poses. It's a simple technical demonstration, admittedly, but we can appreciate the quality of the movements while we wait for robots to be able to participate in a real match without looking too ridiculous.
