LG UltraGear GP9, gaming speaker and Bluetooth external sound card PC / console

Korean manufacturer LG presents its very first audio device designed for video game players.

After the gaming monitor, LG's UltraGear ecosystem is enriched with an audio speaker named GP9.

LG Ultragear GP9, acoustic package

The device incorporates LG's 3D Gaming Sound technology that takes advantage of the HRTF (Head-Related Transfer Function) algorithm to adapt the sound to the type of game. The result is a precise virtual surround effect with a realistic feel. space, position and direction, even without a helmet. Precision, the total power delivered reaches 20 W through four loudspeakers, two 20 mm tweeters and two 50.8 mm boomers.

Virtual sound DTS Headphone: X

Two modes allow you to customize the sound to suit the game. But those who prefer to use headphones benefit from DTS Headphone: X technology via the 3.5mm mini-jack output for a virtual 7.1 surround effect. And for the chat, which accompanies some frenzied parties (online for example), built-in microphones exploit an echo cancellation algorithm to distinguish the user's voice from game sounds and background noise. To be complete on the chapter of connectivity, the LG Ultragear GP9 also has an optical input and a USB-C port.

External sound card, Hi-Res Audio certification, Bluetooth and built-in battery

The UltraGear GP9 can also act as a PC sound card. It is also Hi-Res Audio certified (presence of an ESS Saber ES9038PRO converter) and offers customizable RGB lighting capable of displaying 16.8 million colors to create any lighting atmosphere. The speaker can be easily connected to a PC or a wired game console, and to laptops, tablets or smartphones via Bluetooth. Of course, the LG Ultragear GP9 gaming speaker can be used as a Bluetooth speaker to stream music stored on a suitable device. Nomadic moreover thanks to its 2600 mAh battery offering an autonomy of about 5 hours.
