Released in 2021, the Apple AirTag tracker should welcome a new arrival soon, warns Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, corroborating his own predictions from last year.

While the new gadget would not change too much in terms of design, three significant new features are expected, starting with the integration of a second-generation Ultra Wideband chip, the one that debuted in the iPhone 15 and the Apple Watch Ultra 2. Concretely, this chip offers a communication range three times greater than the current model. The new AirTag should also benefit from privileged communication with the interface of the Apple Vision Pro headset, and its speaker will be more difficult to modify in order to limit the diversion of the AirTag for criminal purposes.
