This graphic approach officially named Liquid Glass ("liquid glass" in French) is described by Apple as follows: "Liquid Glass uses real-time rendering and reacts dynamically to movements with specular reflections. This beautiful new material extends from the smallest elements that users interact with every day, such as buttons, switches, sliders, text, and media controls, to larger elements like tab bars and sidebars for navigating apps. A more transparent and organic look, not necessarily revolutionary but quite nice as you can see in the video in this article, the transparent texture is accompanied by natural and satisfying animations. Needless to say, Apple is still very strong in this area and no doubt the competition will soon be inspired. The design is of course accompanied by functional improvements, for example the integration of instant translation in more applications, especially during FaceTime video chat. The phone application is also improved and will be able to, for example, filter your calls and automatically ask the name of the person you are talking to before you answer.

Finally, note that as part of this update, a new application dedicated to video games called Apple Games is making its appearance, and again, we told you about it in detail in a previous leak. OS 26 updates will arrive on all ranges of Apple devices around September 2025.
