Get ready for the Spider-Man tsunami!

Pre-sales for Spider-Man: Brand New Day are already breaking records and suggest a potential opening weekend of over $250 million in the United States.
According to Global Box Office, pre-sales for the new Sony Pictures and Marvel film have already surpassed $40 million in the US market. Tickets went on sale online less than a week ago, but these initial figures are already enough to drive up estimates. The fourth Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland could thus open with over $250 million in its first US weekend, from Friday to Sunday. Such a score would make it the biggest opening since Spider-Man: No Way Home, which opened with $260.1 million in the United States and $600.5 million worldwide at the end of 2021. Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to be a box office smash, a crazy release in sight. The synopsis states: Four years have passed since we last saw our friendly neighborhood hero. Peter Parker is no longer a public figure, but Spider-Man is watching over New York more than ever. Everything seems to be going perfectly for this now-anonymous hero, until a strange series of crimes draws him into a web of mystery far greater than anything he has ever faced. To confront what awaits him, Spider-Man will have to be at the peak of his physical and mental abilities, but also ready to face the repercussions of his past. Tom Holland reprises his role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man in this new installment directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, known for films such as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. With Tom Holland's enthusiastic comments about the quality of the script (see Tom Holland recounts how The Odyssey saved Spider-Man) and the film's excellent preparation, we now hope that the event will be more than just a box office success. After a previous installment that was undeniably phenomenal at the box office, but artistically very questionable, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has the opportunity to return to a more ambitious vision. Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in French cinemas on July 29, 2026.
