Unveiled earlier this year at CES in Las Vegas (see our CES 26 news > Klipsch The Nines II: a new generation of fully equipped powered speakers), the highly anticipated Klipsch The Nines II speakers are finally arriving on the market. The most premium model in the American manufacturer's new range boasts a redesigned acoustic profile and a brand-new wireless connection.
Retaining the aesthetic codes of the original The Nines speaker, the Klipsch The Nines II features the bookshelf form factor and Heritage product design borrowed from the 1950s and 60s, utilizing premium materials: real wood veneer and metal knobs. However, a major evolution is hidden on the front panel: the use of a unibody structure made of BMC (Bulk Molding Compound), a denser and more rigid material designed to limit unwanted resonances and open up the soundstage. Klipsch The Nines II: streaming, wireless connectivity, and modern technologies. While the form evokes the mid-20th century, the functionality is thoroughly modern, integrating the latest electronic technologies developed with Onkyo to meet new listening needs. The Klipsch The Nines II speakers feature Bluetooth 5.4 certification (supporting SBC and AAC codecs) and dual-band Wi-Fi 5 for streaming music files stored on a compatible device. They also boast Hi-Res Audio certification (96 kHz/24-bit). A highly anticipated new feature, this generation now offers an optional wireless connection between the left and right speakers (LR link), providing complete placement freedom without sacrificing sound quality. In addition to streaming, the Klipsch The Nines II speakers allow you to connect a sound source via their stereo RCA/Phono input with a built-in preamp for directly connecting a turntable. We also note a balanced stereo XLR input, a USB-C port, a USB-A port, a coaxial input, and an optical input. In addition, there is an Ethernet port for a perfectly stable wired network connection. Also worth noting is a subwoofer output to enhance the impact of low frequencies, as well as HDMI, eARC, and CEC connectivity with pass-through functionality for Ultra HD, 8K, HDR Dolby Vision, HDR10+, VRR, ALLM, and QFT.
