Arrested for asking ChatGPT a question

Don't ask an AI how to kill a classmate, you might get a little trip behind bars.

Stopping criminals before they commit their crime, that's the principle of Steven Spielberg's must-see Minority Report. Fiction is becoming reality since the United States is seriously studying the subject, even in schools.

Soon predictive algorithms to monitor schools?££££

This type of surveillance system is used in certain American schools, particularly those plagued by mass shootings. It allows them to keep an eye on students' online activity and to issue an alert in the event of "suspicious behavior". Recently in Florida, one of these algorithms targeted a 13-year-old student because he had asked ChatGPT "how to kill my friend in class".

Not a funny joke, jail time££££

The police quickly apprehended the teenager for questioning, who replied that he simply wanted to "troll" a friend who had bothered him. "Another 'prank' that caused an emergency on campus," the Volusia County Sheriff's Office said. "Parents, please talk to your children so they don't make the same mistake." Otherwise, the kid was jailed, though at the time of writing, it's unclear for what exact reasons.
