At the last Gamescom, which closed its doors a week ago, JBL presented the JBL Quantum 950, one of the latest models in the Quantum gaming headset range, equipped like the JBL Quantum 250 and JBL Quantum 650 with 50 millimeter carbon transducers.

The headset, still usable via a 3.5 mm wired connection for those who don't care about wireless, is also capable of being connected to a low-latency audio source via a 2.4 GHz [abc]USB[/abc] dongle or [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.3 (see left photo below).
It is therefore possible to converse with partners during an online game while listening to music or to exchange during a phone call. We find the 6 mm Boom Mic boom microphone for perfect communication in the middle of a game, or for phone calls and other meetings.
Of the three JBL Quantum 2025 references, the JBL Quantum 950 is the only one to include adaptive active noise reduction (with Ambient Aware mode so as not to be completely cut off from the sound environment if necessary). The same goes for the battery (25 hours of autonomy), the JBL Quantum 950 is the only one of the three circumaural headphones to be sold with a spare battery in the box. And it is possible to change one for the other hot, that is to say without turning off the headset, in order to continue a long, wild video game session (see photo below). Simply place the discharged battery on the included dock to recharge it. This dock also allows for various sound adjustments, RGB insert management, or the choice of precise equalization.
Of course, the JBL Spatial Sound function to widen the soundstage is present, as is the Zoom application. Another specific feature of the Quantum 950 model is the Head Tracking function for 3D sound tracking if you turn your head. Finally, its sound features are optimized by the JBL QuantumEngine processing, with audio customization functions focused on the player. Finally, note that the microphone, headband, cable, and ear cushions of the JBL Quantum 950 are replaceable.
