Close by Lukas Dhont: the Cannes Grand Prix soon on Blu-Ray and VOD

Léo (Eden Dambrine) and Rémi (Gustav De Waele), 13, have shared a strong friendship since childhood. But when this bond weakens, Léo will get closer to Sophie (Émilie Dequenne), the mother of his best friend.

Lukas Dhont, a promising young filmmaker to whom we owe a first hypersensitive film, Girl in 2018, returns with a moving story about the loss of innocence and the difficulty of being oneself in a world petrified in the norm. Inspired by his own experience, Close confronts adolescence with a handful of strong questions, around sexual identity among others.

Adolescence seen up close

Announced on Blu-Ray, DVD and VOD on March 7 at Diaphana Édition, Close will be accompanied by two new short films by the director: Corps perdu and L'infini, followed by an interview.
