Lukas Dhont, a promising young filmmaker to whom we owe a first hypersensitive film, Girl in 2018, returns with a moving story about the loss of innocence and the difficulty of being oneself in a world petrified in the norm. Inspired by his own experience, Close confronts adolescence with a handful of strong questions, around sexual identity among others.
