Trailer The Covenant, Guy Ritchie's new film

The first trailer for the next film by British director Guy Ritchie (An Angry Man, The Gentlemen, Aladdin), starring Jack Gyllenhaal, has just been unveiled.

With a budget of 55 million dollars, the war/action film produced by MGM and Amazon will be released in theaters in the USA on the 24th (no French date for the moment).

The first images are impressive. The action seems constant and hard-hitting with a narrative endowed with a certain density. Jack Gyllenhaal looks particularly intense and the very good Antony Staar (Homelander in The Boys) is part of the celebrations.

The story features US Army Sergeant John Kinley (Gyllenhaal) and his Afghan interpreter, Ahmed (Dar Salim). When their unit is ambushed, Kinley and Ahmed are the only ones to survive but have hordes of enemies chasing them. Ahmed will risk his life to save that of Kinley, injured. So when Kinley later learns that the Americans have failed to deliver on their promise to bring Ahmed and his family to safety, he decides to return to the war zone to try to find him before the Taliban.

Alexander Ludwig, Jason Wong, Bobby Schofield, Sean Sagar, Sina Parvaneh, Emily Beecham, Cyrus Khodaveisi and Christian Ochoa round out the cast.
