According to the latest data collected by the NPA firm, after having plateaued between 56% and 57% during the last six quarters, the penetration rate of [abc]SVOD[/abc] ([abc]streaming[/abc] video by subscription) reached a record in the first quarter of 2025 with 58% of French people subscribing to at least one service.

Compared to the same period last year, all platforms are experiencing an increase with Prime Video standing out with 32% of French subscribers. At the end of the first quarter, 63% of SVOD subscribers, or 35% of French people, subscribed to an advertising-supported offer. This figure was 32% in the last quarter of 2024. Finally, on average, each French person subscribes to 2.1 services.
