Invisible selfie camera… not before 2030 and the iPhone 22?

The iPhone with a pristine screen, without any visible sensors, is coming, but it won't be before 2030. So we'll have to be patient.

Apple wants to make a splash with the iPhone 19, which will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iPhone in 2027, and while the device should indeed stand out in terms of design, it would nevertheless be missing a "little something".

iPhone, 100% screen front objective££££

This "detail" has been rumored since the appearance of the iPhone X's selfie notch: it is the complete concealment of the Face ID and camera sensors under the screen, to leave a completely immaculate surface on the front of the device. And according to the latest information from Taiwanese analyst Ross Young, renowned for his reliability, the materialization of this expectation would take place in three stages.

Suspected roadmap of the iPhone screen until 2023££££

First stage in 2026 with the iPhone 18 Pro which would have a smaller notch because some Face ID elements would be hidden under the screen. Stage 2 in 2028 with the iPhone 20 Pro for which all Face ID components would be hidden. Only the selfie camera would remain visible, probably via a small circular perforation. Finally, third stage in 2030 with the iPhone 22 Pro therefore, for which all the previously visible elements would be hidden under the screen. Patience then…
