Volvo EX90 SUV: Dolby Atmos system by Bowers & Wilkins

Volvo is also getting big on immersive sound by welcoming a Dolby Atmos system designed by Bowers & Wilkins for the first time.

After Mercedes, Lotus, Polestar and others, it's Volvo's turn to welcome an immersive Dolby Atmos sound system. The first car from the manufacturer to receive this treatment is the new all-electric Volvo EX90 seven-seater SUV, which incorporates a 25-speaker system designed by Bowers & Wilkins.

The word to Jim Rowan, CEO of Volvo Cars

About the car, Jim Rowan, CEO of Volvo Cars says: “The Volvo EX90 is our idea of a large family SUV in the electric age. This inherently electric, software-intensive vehicle embodies the performance of future Volvo models in safety, technology, durability and design, for a more personalized experience tailored to each driver.

He adds: The Volvo EX90 clearly announces where we are and where we want to go. All-electric, it has a maximum range of 600 kilometers on a single charge and exceeds our safety standards. It's also the first Volvo vehicle to be truly defined by its software system as part of a larger ecosystem that connects it to your home and other devices. The Volvo EX90 marks, in many ways, the start of a new era for Volvo Cars."
