7 iPhones in the Top 10 smartphones of 2021

Three brands occupied the Top 10 smartphones sold in the world last year.

According to figures from Counterpoint Research, the ten best-selling smartphone models in the world in 2021 represent 19% of total sales, compared to 16% in 2020. This increase shows that brands tend to focus on their flagship models , and even reduce the scope of their offer in some cases.

Top 5 100% Apple

Only three brands are represented in this Top 10: Apple, Samsung and Xiaomi. And for the first time in its history, Apple dominates the ranking with seven of its models, followed by Xiaomi with two devices, and Samsung with one. The top five spots are taken by Apple, with the iPhone 12 in first position, then the iPhone 12 Pro Max, iPhone 13, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 11.

Samsung in 6th position

Xiaomi takes 7th and 10th place with its Redmi 9A and Redmi 9, while it is the only Galaxy A12 that represents Samsung in sixth position, showing that the Korean manufacturer's flagship smartphones (Galaxy S and Fold) are not necessarily the most popular.
