In short, the TCL P635 TV series should have five Ultra HD 4K references, the TCL 43C635 (43'', 109 cm), TCL 50C635 (50'', 127 cm), TCL 55C635 (55'', 140 cm), TCL 65C635 (65'', 165 cm) and TCL 75C635 (75'', 191 cm).
TCL C635, the evolutions compared to the TCL P735 series
In terms of differences with the TCL P735 TV series, we note the presence of a sound bar signed Onkyo, a double stand that can adopt two positions (to place the TV on a wide or short piece of furniture) and, above all , Quantum Dots technology for increased performance in colorimetry. Likewise, the VRR function (48 Hz to 60 Hz) and FreeSync compatibility are required.
TCL C635, main technical characteristics
For the rest, there is a very thin panel frame, almost non-existent on the left and right sides and at the top of the screen, a native VA type 10-bit 50 Hz LCD panel associated with AiPQ Engine video processing. There is also a WCG (Wide Color Gamut) panel, a Micro Dimming system (optimization of image quality by zone via software process) and Direct LED Global Dimming backlighting. Of course, HDR10, HDR HLG and HDR Dolby Vision compatibility is required.
There is still Motion Clarity processing to make the display more fluid during a sports broadcast, a DVB-T2/DVB-C and DVB-S2 tuner and the Game Master label. The latter involves the ALLM function, an HDMI 2.1 connector (an input provided on the TCL C63 TVs) and a minimum Input Lag, less than 10 ms here. Of course, given the panel's native frequency, there's no 4K/120 function here.
TCL C635, Smart Google TV function
If the UPnP (DLNA) media gateway function is present, in addition to HBBTV compatibility, one of the strengths of the TCL C63 TV series is the integration of the Google TV Smart TV function. In addition to having an internet browser, Voice Search and Chromecast functions, offering access to the Google Play Store rich in several thousand free applications, there is multi-account management, PIP, the Cast function efficient on Ultra HD content, multitasking management to navigate between several applications, quick access to favorite content via a side information bar superimposed on the screen, Google Assistant compatibility and the Hands free Voice Control function (voice control of the TV) without the need for the remote control (miro integrated in the TV). New in 2022, the Google Duo video chat application is present (optional camera required). All with 16 GB of flash memory expandable via USB. Direct access to Netflix and Youtube in Ultra HD/4K is also required. Finally, TCL C63 TVs are also Works with Fransat certified. Namely, the Works with Alexa certification (need for an Amazon Echo type connected speaker) is present.
Of course, Wi-Fi ac is on board, in addition to the Bluetooth function. All “driven” by a Quad Core processor. We also note the T-Cast Away function to display the content of the TV screen on a second screen. And Dolby Atmos and DTS-HD compatibility is required (virtual process).
The connectors
Connectivity has three HDMI CEC inputs, one 2.1 as already mentioned and two 2.0b (2160p/50 and 2160p/60 compatible). On the HDMI 2.1 connector, there is also the eARC function. There are still, among other things, two USB ports, an Ethernet port and a CI+ port certified Canal Ready. Plus an optical output. Of course, HEVC management (IP and Broadcast) is provided.
