The Aristocats soon in live version at Disney

Disney will be working on a live-action version of the classic 70s cartoon The Aristocats.

The original 1970 version, directed by Wolfgang Reitherman, follows the journey of a family of cats who live in Paris with Madame de Bonnefamille, an eccentric millionaire. One day, the latter invites her notary to bequeath all her fortune to her four-legged companions. However, a clause in the will stipulates that when the cats die, his property will go to his butler, Edgar. The latter will then do everything to eliminate the hairy heirs.

Cine or streaming?

Will Gluck (Peter Rabbit) and Keith Bunin (En avant) will write the script for this live version (Gluck producing the film via his Olive Bridge Entertainment banner). According to Deadline, the studio has yet to say whether it will be a live-action remake for theaters or straight to streaming.
