Unlike the Laser TV solutions offered by the Hisense, the XGimi Aura is marketed without a technical screen (on the model of BenQ's commercial policy).
Specifications in bulk
On the XGimi Aura we find all the technologies already present on competing models, namely DLP technology associated with a 0.47 '' DMD chip with a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (display 3,840 x 2 160 pixels with Texas Instrument's XPR4 wobulation technology), MEMC motion compensation, HDR10 compatibility, extended color space… The peak light is announced by XGimi at 2400 lumens from a blue laser light source (as the name of the product suggests) with an enormous lifespan of 25,000 hours. Namely, the XGimi is a 3D Ready model and the encoder wheel is RGBJ (Red, Green, Blue, Yellow) obedience.
In the Smart TV chapter, the XGimi Aura includes the Android 10 function (with onboard Chromecast) offering direct access to the Google universe, with of course the applications of the main streaming services: Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Rakuten and YouTube… Last precision, to display an image of 100 ”, ie 254 cm therefore very much larger than that of a 65” (165 cm) TV for example (cf. second image below), the hindsight needed is only 20 centimeters. This is the main advantage of an ultra-short throw projector.
The sound section, compatible with Dolby Digital and DTS, is signed by a great name in the audio world, Harman Kardon. It is based on four loudspeakers (two tweeters and two midrange-boomers) and Class D amplification. The total power delivered is 60 W (4 x 15 W).
Identical connection to that of a TV
The connection has three HDMI 2.0 inputs (with management of the ARC function on one of them), three USB 2.0 ports and an Ethernet port. There is also an optical output and a headphone output. There are also Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 5.0 compatibilities.
Immediate availability. Indicative price: 2,490 euros.
