Dynamic Island on iPhone 17e?

New details about the upcoming "low-cost" iPhone, which is expected to launch early next year, have surfaced online.

Several reliable sources in recent weeks have claimed that the iPhone 17e would indeed arrive in early 2026. A successor to the iPhone 16e released this year, which would confirm the new regularity for the entry-level Apple, called iPhone SE until last year, and which only appeared in the range periodically.

This new model should benefit from significant improvements if we are to believe the latest revelations from the Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station, known for its reliability regarding Apple rumors. We thus learn that the device would be equipped with the Dynamic Island feature, a software solution that hides the perforation of the Selfie camera. So, the notch of the previous model is gone, for more screen space.

In this regard, the screen would remain Oled 6.1" (15.5 cm) and equipped with a refresh rate of 60 hertz. We also expect the A19 processor, a 12 Mpxls selfie camera (with Face ID) and a 48 Mpxls lens on the back. If the iPhone 16e was inspired by the design of the iPhone 14, this new information suggests that the iPhone 17e would rather be an offshoot of the iPhone 15, the first model to introduce the Dynamic Island function.
