Panasonic unveils the connected Hi-Fi micro system SC-PMX112, the flagship model of its new home audio range. Featuring 180 W amplification, two-way speakers, dual-band Wi-Fi and Spotify Connect certifications, not to mention an audio CD player, it is offered at a suggested retail price of 299 euros.
With this new reference (accompanied in the catalog by the more modest SC-PM302, whose presentation is forthcoming in a later news item), the Japanese manufacturer expands its home audio offering to meet the expectations of music lovers seeking superior sound performance and extended connectivity. The Panasonic SC-PMX112 thus integrates a wide range of digital and physical music sources to serve as the main audio system in the living room.

The Panasonic SC‑PMX112 is based on a two-way speaker system combining 13 cm full-range drivers, dedicated 2.5 cm tweeters, and bass-reflex ports, all powered by amplification delivering a total output of 180 watts. On the menu, according to the Japanese manufacturer, are clear vocals, detailed highs, and powerful bass, for a balanced listening experience across a wide variety of music. Five predefined equalization modes make it possible to adapt the sound to everyone’s preferences. In terms of finish, the speakers feature true cabinetmaking craftsmanship (wooden enclosures) that contributes to the finesse of the sound and gives this micro system a strong presence in a contemporary interior. The removable grilles and speaker cables also offer great installation flexibility.

[abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.2 (Class 1 for extended range) also makes it easy to stream tracks from a compatible smartphone or tablet. In addition, the SC-PMX112 offers playback of audio CDs and files stored on [abc]USB[/abc] devices, not to mention [abc]DAB+[/abc] digital radio and FM tuners (2 x 30 presets) for moving freely from [abc]streaming[/abc] to physical media.
The connectivity is equally well equipped for connecting other multimedia devices: there is an [abc]optical[/abc] input for a TV or another digital source, a 3.5 mm mini-jack line input for analog devices, an USB-A port providing playback and charging, as well as dedicated outputs for headphones and an external subwoofer (via [abc]RCA[/abc]) to expand the system.
On the front of the clean and minimalist enclosure, a large 2.8" (7.1 cm) color TFT display clearly shows the music sources, stations, and settings. Finally, the built-in clock, alarm, and sleep functions add extra everyday convenience, letting you wake up to your favorite station or schedule automatic shutoff at the end of the day.
