GTA VI could arrive sooner than expected
In a new interview with Bloomberg, Phil Hooker and Aaron Garbut, two studio executives, suggest that Rockstar's next game could arrive much more quickly. The technologies developed for GTA VI can in fact be reused in future projects.
Phil Hooker: "The graphics engine, the tools, and the team we built over the course of this project will allow us to work faster. I am convinced that we will be able to build on these achievements and favor a more horizontal rather than vertical development, in order to create even more captivating content".
Aaron Garbut: "We profoundly changed many fundamental elements for this project. But now that this work is finished, we are not going to dismantle everything and start again from scratch".`
Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on November 19, 2026, while a PC version could see the light of day sometime next year.
