Specialist in high-fidelity for over 50 years, the Canadian manufacturer Nad Electronics (Lenbrook group) announces the worldwide launch of its new integrated amplifier, the C 359S. This model reinvents traditional amplification by combining it with BluOS high-resolution streaming and comprehensive connectivity at the heart of a modernized Class AB architecture, without sacrificing the acoustic purity or physical ergonomics that made its legend.
Nad Electronics, an iconic brand celebrating more than five decades of audio innovation, unveils the C 359S today. Presented simultaneously alongside the C 569 CD player (coverage to follow in a later news item), this new model perfectly embodies the company’s longstanding philosophy: an absolute pursuit of performance, no superfluous gimmicks, and lasting value in use. The Nad C 359S was designed as a natural step up from the renowned C 316 V2. It is aimed directly at music lovers looking to move to a more powerful and more connected system, as well as owners of older amplifiers from the brand, or purists attached to physical media who want to enjoy dematerialized music without losing the identity of a true traditional [abc]Hi-Fi[/abc] component.

Classic Series aesthetics: ergonomics over screens
Against the current trend of display-heavy, complex interfaces, the Nad C 359S features a streamlined design. Its front panel focuses on the essentials: sturdy push-buttons and textured rotary knobs for everyday adjustments (volume, balance, bass, and treble). This approach ensures intuitive handling from the very first seconds, while preserving the tactile pleasure of an authentic high-fidelity amplifier.

2 x 70 watt Class AB architecture
Under its understated chassis, the C 359S houses a Class A/B power stage delivering 2 x 70 W continuous into 8 ohms, designed to drive the most demanding speakers on the market with excellent dynamics. The real achievement of Nad’s engineers lies in the modernization of its internal architecture: a 4-layer printed circuit board strictly isolates the power conversion section, signal processing, and power amplification in order to eliminate any unwanted interaction and reduce background noise. The whole unit is based on a proprietary switching power supply, custom-developed to deliver high, stable, and highly regulated current, guaranteeing an instantaneous transient response to the most complex dynamic swings.

DDH technology (Dynamic Digital Headroom): zero digital clipping
The unit integrates the exclusive Dynamic Digital Headroom (DDH) technology. Designed to correct mastering flaws in modern recordings, this technology attenuates the digital signal by -3 dB before the digital-to-analog conversion stage (Dac). This processing prevents severe clipping on transient peaks (such as percussion), ultimately delivering a much smoother, more natural sound reproduction free from harshness on extreme signals.

Nad C 359S, BluOS ecosystem and total connectivity
The C 359S aims to establish itself as the central piece of home entertainment thanks to its great versatility. Equipped with the powerful BluOS platform, it streams music losslessly and with no latency up to 192 kHz/24-bit from more than 20 partner services (Tidal, Qobuz, Spotify, Deezer, Amazon Music...). It also integrates into a complete wireless multiroom ecosystem. This true audiovisual hub features [abc]HDMI[/abc] [abc]eARC[/abc] connectivity for simplified connection to the television, [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] APT-X [abc]HD[/abc] compatibility, an MM phono input, as well as analog line inputs and an [abc]optical[/abc] digital input. Not to mention an [abc]Ethernet[/abc] port.

Nad C 359S, intelligent subwoofer integration
To go further in acoustic optimization, Nad offers particularly advanced subwoofer management on this model. Thanks to an optional fixed 80 Hz high-pass filter, the amplifier can redirect all low frequencies to the subwoofer output. This relevant technical choice relieves both the main speakers and the amplifier of the most power-hungry frequencies, dramatically improving signal clarity, soundstage precision and, of course, the overall available power reserve.
Expected availability end of November 2026. Indicative price: 1,199 euros.
