Apple: Price hikes across most products, iPhones and AirPods spared

Faced with soaring component costs linked to the rapid development of artificial intelligence infrastructure, the Cupertino-based company has implemented a dramatic price adjustment. While Mac computers, iPads, and the Vision Pro headset have seen significant price increases, Apple has strategically chosen to protect the prices of its best-selling products—iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods—so as not to negatively impact its core sales.
Tim Cook had warned us shortly before, and on June 25th the axe fell: the majority of Apple products saw their prices increase. Price hikes ranged from €30 to €1,500. From a €30 increase for the HomePod Mini to €1,500 for a Mac Studio M3 Ultra, including iPads, Apple TV, and the Apple Vision Pro headphones, the brand's devices, already known for their high prices, are now even more expensive. iPhones, Apple Watches, and AirPods were miraculously spared. Only Apple's most popular products—the iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods—saved from this carnage. Nor would it be a matter of driving away all customers, even though we suspect that these exceptions will soon no longer exist. "The fault lies with artificial intelligence and the cost of components." "The consumer electronics industry is facing an unprecedented challenge," Apple told MacRumors. "The rapid expansion of AI-powered data centers has caused an exceptional surge in demand for memory and storage. We have never seen such a significant and rapid increase in component prices. Until now, we have protected our customers from these increases, but we have now reached a point where we must begin raising prices on several products, including the price hikes announced today for iPad and Mac. We know this news is not well received, and we are working tirelessly to find solutions."
