French company Deezer tracks AI-generated music on Spotify, Apple, and Qobuz.

Faced with the influx of synthetic tracks, Deezer is taking the lead. The French streaming platform is launching a free tool allowing listeners to identify AI-generated music on more than twenty competing music services, including Spotify, Apple Music, and Qobuz.
While the French streaming service Deezer seems to be the only one taking the threat of artificial intelligence seriously, it has set its sights on "helping" Spotify, Qobuz, and its other competitors hunt down AI-generated tracks. 97% of listeners fooled: Deezer cleans up the competition. In a context where 97% of listeners can no longer distinguish between traditional music and AI-generated tracks, Deezer sets itself apart from other music platforms by its determination to hunt down this "artistic content." Apple Music and even Spotify are touching on the subject, but seem relatively tolerant, so rather than wait for the world to collapse, Deezer has decided to clean house among its competitors by launching a free online tool to detect AI-generated tracks on other platforms—20 in total, from Tidal to Qobuz, including YouTube and, of course, Spotify and Apple Music. A universal detector to reveal synthetic music: "Since no other company has yet followed our example, we decided to allow everyone to check if their playlists contain synthetic music, regardless of the streaming platform used," said Alexis Lanternier, CEO of Deezer. "We believe our AI-generated music detector will be a revelation for listeners worldwide." A clever move made in France, the impact of which we eagerly await.
