Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra: a new naming strategy to counter the foldable iPhone Ultra

Samsung is preparing to revamp its foldable smartphone lineup on July 22nd by launching the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra to directly compete with Apple's upcoming first foldable iPhone Ultra.
One of the three foldable smartphones Samsung will release this summer will carry the Ultra suffix, most likely to steal some of the thunder from the first iPhone Ultra (with a foldable screen) that will be released soon after. This name change, however, comes with a strange twist. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Wide vs. iPhone Ultra: The Summer Format Game Indeed, this year, a new model appears in Samsung's foldable range: the Galaxy Z Fold Wide, with unusual dimensions almost identical to those of the iPhone Ultra. And while we expected this near-doppelganger to be called Ultra… that won't be the case. This model will instead adopt the well-established name of Galaxy Z Fold 8, while the Galaxy Z Fold we already know will become the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. Okay, are you following? A positioning decoded before the July 22nd conference. A seemingly logical shake-up, since the term "Ultra" is reserved for premium models, and the features of the model formerly known as the Galaxy Z Fold Wide aren't as sophisticated as those of the traditional Z Fold. Hopefully, customers won't be confused by this mix-up… provided, of course, that this rumor is confirmed on July 22nd, the announcement date for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
