iPhone XX model year 2027, already obsolete?

Apple is already developing the second generation of the innovative screen at the center of the iPhone XX, which will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the iPhone in 2027.
It's now almost certain that the 2027 iPhone XX will be a model with a striking design, celebrating the 20th anniversary of Apple's smartphone. It will be distinguished in particular by a seemingly limitless screen that seamlessly extends to all four sides of the device. Apple is already anticipating the technical limitations of the first-generation screen. And according to the Korean media outlet ET News (via MacRumors), aware of the technical limitations of this innovation, Apple is already preparing its evolution, which will arrive in 2028 on the iPhone 21. Specifically, for the first model, Apple will use a magnesium-silver alloy in the cathode layer of the OLED screen, a material responsible for distortion and a loss of brightness on curved areas. For the 2028 version, the manufacturer is expected to opt for a zinc-oxide composite, a more transparent material that would correct these flaws while further reducing the bezel thickness. Samsung Display and LG Display, suppliers of this screen, have already been notified of this two-stage rollout in order to prepare their production lines in advance.
