New exclusive colors for the iPhone 18 Pro: "dark cherry" takes center stage

A preview of the new color options for Apple's upcoming smartphones, including the much-discussed "dark red" color.
Sources at Macworld have revealed the colors for the iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max lineup, which will launch this fall, presumably alongside the iPhone Ultra, Apple's first foldable model. An exclusive 2026 color: the famous "dark cherry" red is confirmed. We'll start with the "exclusive" color for 2026, given that each year a single color is highlighted, like the "Cosmic Orange" of 2025. This new information corroborates previous rumors that suggested a dark red, leaning towards burgundy. Moreover, it's confirmed here that this red will be more of a wine color than a bright red. The name being discussed: "dark cherry," as is customary with Apple. Three other color options are also being considered: light blue (resembling the "Mist" color of the iPhone 17), dark gray, and silver. Nothing is confirmed yet, however, and one of these three colors will certainly disappear, given that the iPhone Pro is generally only available in three shades. Credible leaks: Ice Universe confirms the four colors. It should be noted that these four colors were subsequently corroborated by Ice Universe, a supposedly reliable "leaker," who published an image showing pieces of future iPhone 18 Pro cases in these colors. This photo was certainly provided by a third-party accessory manufacturer. iPhone Ultra: understated elegance with only three colors. As for the iPhone Ultra, fewer colors will be available, and all should remain understated. Apple is considering a classic silver model, a white, and an indigo blue, similar to the "Intense Blue" of the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
