Half-marathon record broken… by a humanoid robot

There's no chance of escaping our future robot masters when they chase us, since they already run faster and longer than we do.
On April 19th, in Beijing, the second half-marathon reserved for humanoid robots took place, with first place awarded to Honor's Lightning. Honor's Lightning shatters the human record. Incidentally, with a time of 50'26'' (over 21 km), the machine smashed the human record of 57'20'' held by a Ugandan runner. Moreover, the robot crashed into a barrier on the final straight and had to be helped back up by its human pilots: in reality, the robot was therefore faster than its official score reflects. Spectacular technological progress in just one year. It's worth noting the technological advancement, since the winner of the 2025 edition finished the race in 2 hours and 40 minutes.
