Nolan's Odyssey will not last more than 3 hours, that's a promise.

The film, starring Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Tom Holland, Charlize Theron, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong'o, Robert Pattinson, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, John Leguizamo, and Himesh Patel, is still in post-production. Producer Emma Thomas specifies that she doesn't yet know its exact runtime for this reason. To date, Oppenheimer remains Nolan's only film to have exceeded the 3-hour mark. Other films have come close, however, such as Interstellar at 169 minutes or The Dark Knight Rises at 164 minutes. One rather dizzying question remains: how does Nolan intend to adapt Homer's immense poem in under 3 hours, fitting in the Trojan Horse, the Cyclops, the Sirens, Circe, Calypso, Nausicaa, Poseidon, and also everything surrounding Telemachus, Odysseus's son, and his wife Penelope?
