Philips is relaunching the Fidelio range in 2026 with the FA7 micro hi-fi system and the L5 headphones.

Philips Sound is relaunching its premium Fidelio range in 2026 with two new products: the Fidelio FA7 micro hi-fi system and the Fidelio L5 wireless headphones, both designed to put Fidelio back at the heart of the home and portable audio experience.
Philips announces products for users "who value both sound quality and aesthetic appeal," signs that the Fidelio label at Philips is still a guarantee of high-end equipment that prioritizes both substance and style. Philips Fidelio FA7: a compact micro hi-fi system that focuses on power and versatility. Expected in the last quarter of 2026, the Fidelio FA7 marks Philips' return to a segment that has been dormant for some time… The micro hi-fi system relies on an ambitious acoustic architecture, with a bass-reflex system, a 12.7 cm fiberglass woofer, and a 2.54 cm titanium tweeter. The system delivers "a powerful, full yet precise sound," according to its creator, supported by 120W RMS amplification. Connectivity is extensive, with Wi-Fi compatibility, AirPlay 2 compatibility, Chromecast (integrated), Spotify HiFi, and Tidal Connect, as well as FM radio, DAB+, and internet radio. Philips hasn't forgotten more traditional uses, as it includes a motorized CD tray, Bluetooth with Auracast, and USB audio playback. The entire system is managed via the Philips Entertainment app and presented in a chassis combining a black piano lacquer finish and aluminum, true to the Fidelio DNA.

Philips Fidelio L5: Premium wireless headphones designed for immersion££££

The second product announced, the Fidelio L5, will arrive in October 2026. These circumaural headphones feature a custom-designed 36mm driver compatible with LDAC, along with a Spatial Audio mode to enhance immersion. Philips highlights a particularly sophisticated noise cancellation system, composed of five microphones, four of which are dedicated to "competitive" adaptive active noise cancellation, and three others assisted by AI to guarantee crystal-clear calls.

The Philips Fidelio L5 headphones offer Bluetooth 6.0 LE connectivity, automatic wear detection, real-time optimization of active noise cancellation, and the option of wired listening via a 3.5 mm mini-jack or USB-C to fully enjoy Hi-Res Audio files. Comfort is not overlooked, with a curved headband and extremely plush oval ear cushions designed for extended listening sessions. Philips Sound's 2026 strategy: repositioning Fidelio as a complete premium range. With these two launches, Philips Sound confirms its intention to reposition Fidelio at the heart of its high-end audio offering. The Fidelio FA7 and Fidelio L5 models exemplify this strategy. The return of Fidelio is therefore not limited to a simple catalog refresh: it represents a strategic repositioning aimed at reaffirming Philips' premium identity in the audio market. The Philips Fidelio FA7 micro hi-fi system is expected to be available by the end of 2026, and the Philips Fidelio L5 headphones by October 2026. Suggested retail prices: • €599.99 for the Philips Fidelio FA7 • €199.99 for the Philips Fidelio L5 headphones
