Panasonic W97C, W95C, W94C, W92C and W90C 2026 Mini LED TVs: between premium and democratization

In addition to announcing a manufacturing/distribution agreement, the details of which are not yet fully known, with the Chinese manufacturer Skyworth, and the presentation of only one new OLED TV series (see our news articles "Panasonic TVs in the hands of the Chinese company Skyworth" and "Panasonic Z85C OLED TV: the 'budget' series arrives, with a software surprise"), Panasonic announced its new 2026 Mini LED LCD range 48 hours ago in Munich.
In 2026, Panasonic is therefore strengthening its Mini LED offering with the W97C and W95C series, positioned at the top of the LCD range. Panasonic W97C/W95C: over 1,000 zones and 1,500 nits. These models adopt a Mini LED backlight with over 1,000 zones, a maximum brightness of approximately 1,500 nits, and a color gamut coverage of 105% of DCI-P3. Both series also feature a 144Hz panel, HDR Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos compatibility, Filmmaker Mode, and three HDMI 2.1 inputs with VRR and ALLM support. Glare Free Ultra technology, new in 2026, aims to reduce reflections in bright rooms. Also worth noting, the W97C (pictured above) and W95C run on Google TV, include a soundbar (about which little is known at the time of writing), and have a built-in microphone for voice control. Availability announced for spring in 55", 65", 75", and 86 inches. Panasonic W94C/W92C: More affordable 144Hz Mini LED. Positioned just below in the 2026 range, the Panasonic W94C and Panasonic W92C series retain a 144Hz panel with three HDMI 2.1 connectors, VRR, and ALLM. The W94C uses Fire TV OS, while the W92C runs on Google TV. Panasonic does not specify the number of Mini LED zones but confirms the presence of Glare Free Ultra technology, Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos, and a far-field microphone. Both ranges will also be available in spring, in 55", 65", and 75" sizes.

Panasonic W90C: Entry-level Mini LED TVs££££

The W90C series is Panasonic's entry-level Mini LED TV for 2026. It retains an anti-reflective coating and HDR Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos compatibility, but it is distinguished by a panel with a refresh rate of only 60 Hz. Finally, it features Google TV. The series is slated for release this spring, still available in 55", 65", and 75" sizes.

More details coming in a few weeks.
