CES 26 > Samsung Q-Symphony: Harman Kardon and JBL compatibility included

Samsung acquires Harman, American audio and connected car interface giant. At CES in Las Vegas, Samsung announced a major evolution of its audio ecosystem: Q-Symphony is now open to a vast majority of JBL and Harman Audio speakers. This marks the official arrival of JBL and Harman Audio in the Q-Symphony family, previously reserved for Samsung products.
JBL and Harman Kardon speakers are now compatible with Samsung's Q-Symphony advanced audio synchronization for TVs and soundbars, allowing for more configurations without being limited to the brand's own products (although JBL and Harman Kardon are owned by Samsung, it's worth remembering, see our news article "Samsung acquires Harman, American giant in audio and connected car interfaces"). Samsung Q-Symphony welcomes JBL and Harman Kardon in 2026. This is a strategic move, as the brand continues to promote its new HW-Q990H soundbar, still presented as the highest-performing solution in its catalog. Samsung also specifies that this evolution will facilitate the creation of more modular audio setups: expansion of Dolby Atmos configurations, integration of versatile speakers (meaning those capable of being used independently via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi), and new possibilities for custom installations. This feature is planned via a firmware update, confirming the manufacturer's desire to expand its audio ecosystem while strengthening the flexibility of Q-Symphony, now interoperable with a wider range of products, including third-party ones.
