PlayStation gaming monitor

Sony launches a 27" monitor dedicated to PlayStation 5 video games, designed to be placed on a desk.
In early 2026, Sony will release a 27" monitor in the US and Japan (and hopefully later elsewhere) designed for playing PS5 games on a desk (or other surface), providing an additional option for gaming if the living room TV is in use. PlayStation Monitor, Main Specifications: A QHD IPS model (up to 2560 x 1440 pixels), the monitor features a rotating charging hook for the DualSense controller on the back (see photo below). It pairs perfectly with the recently announced Pulse Elevate wireless speakers. HDR compatibility with Auto Tone Mapping (automatic adjustment of HDR settings on PS5 and PS5 Pro) is also included. VRR is also supported, and the refresh rate reaches 120 Hz. Sony consoles, and 240 Hz on compatible Mac and PC devices. Connectivity options include two HDMI 2.1 inputs and one DisplayPort 1.4, as well as two USB-A ports and one USB-C port. Finally, integrated stereo speakers and a 3.5 mm mini-jack output are included.
