Philips Fidelio FT1: the Bluetooth turntable also acts as an audio CD player

The manufacturer Philips is making a remarkable comeback in the home Hi-Fi market with a product that is, to say the least, original: a Bluetooth vinyl turntable equipped with a built-in audio CD player. Called Fidelio FT1, this versatile turntable combines two worlds, analog and digital, in a product with a sleek design worthy of the premium Fidelio series.

The Philips Century event held a month ago at Natlab (Natuurkundig Laboratorium) in Eindhoven, Holland (see our news Philips Century: new product range to celebrate 100 years of audio innovation) was also an opportunity, in addition to the vintage-looking products The Tina, The Stevie, The Janet, The Freddie and The Ringo, to also discover the Philips Fidelio FT1 turntable planned for 2026.

Philips FT1, a neat hybrid design££££ Under its traditional turntable appearance, the Fidelio FT1 hides an [abc]audio CD[/abc] player with a drawer integrated into the front, mechanically separated from the platter to limit vibrations and interference. The latter rests on a cast aluminum platter and a thick rubber mat, combined with an extruded aluminum tonearm equipped with a replaceable Audio Technica MM cartridge. The turntable is a two-speed belt-driven model (33/45 rpm) and has an automatic stop function at the end of playback.

Philips FT1, complete connectivity and modernity££££ Philips wanted to combine nostalgia and technology. The FT1 offers a stereo [abc]RCA[/abc] output with integrated Phono preamp, a 3.5 mm mini-Jack headphone port and, above all, a [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.4 connection compatible with LC3 and [abc]Auracast[/abc] for wirelessly streaming vinyl and CDs to compatible Bluetooth speakers or headphones. A brightness-adjustable [abc]LED[/abc] screen displays the source, volume and even the time in standby mode. Control via the Philips Entertainment app also allows you to select sources and control playback remotely.

The Philips Fidelio FT1 is expected to be available in the first quarter of 2026. Recommended price: €299.
