After Samsung, LG and others, two other electronics specialists - Qualcomm and MediaTek - are joining the ranks of companies that are seriously tackling the technologies that will make possible the future 6G wireless network, the successor to the current 5G.
6G by Qualcomm, heading for AI££££
Competitors in the processor market, the two companies are working towards a common goal, namely the standardization of 6G cellular technology. The American Qualcomm has joined forces with Nokia Bell Labs and Rhode & Schwarz to realize its vision, built essentially around AI. The company thus expects networks to learn and adapt in real time. AI algorithms will thus allow networks to adapt their parameters automatically according to the conditions of the moment.
6G by MediaTek, heading for the Cloud Edge££££
Taiwanese MediaTek is working with nVidia, Intel and G Reigns. Together, they are developing a hybrid computing technology based on the "Cloud Edge", i.e. the physical proximity of processing resources and users, to reduce latency and thus improve the experience.
