Squaring the Circle: Anton Corbijn's doc on the legendary album covers of the 70's

Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Peter Gabriel, 10 CC, Paul McCartney and the Wings… The biggest artists went through the English studio Hipgnosis to create the covers for their albums. The name of the studio was found by Syd Barrett, sorry! The documentary Squaring the Circle (the Story of Hipgnosis) tells his story…

If, for the moment, the documentary signed by Dutch director Anton Corbijn (The American), Squaring the Circle does not yet have a release date neither in theaters, nor on Blu-Ray, nor in streaming, it has however a trailer which gives a good idea of the project.

Created by Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey "Po" Powell, the Hipgnosis photo studio is at the origin of the most beautiful vinyl covers of the 70's (and in beyond) including that of Dark Side of the Moon, a truly iconic work of art. Are summoned in front of the microphone of the director (who is also and above all a photographer and the man behind the visual creation of the Depeche Mode group for years) to tell the story of this legendary photo studio and the back of their album covers : Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Paul McCartney, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and Noel Gallagher. What beautiful people!
