A year has passed, and as is customary, Samsung's two new foldable smartphones have arrived. But in 2025, they're joined by a new model: the Z Flip 7 FE, an affordable version (starting at €999) of the clamshell Z Flip 7.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE , the Z Flip 6 screens on the menu££££
Compared to its big brother, this version looks more like the previous Z Flip 6 and is therefore distinguished by a smaller external screen, 3.4" (8.6 cm, 1,080 x 2,640 pixels, 306 ppi) 60 Hz against 4.1" (10.4 cm), ditto for the internal one, 6.7" (17 cm, 720 x 748 pixels, 426 ppi) against 6.9" (17.5 cm) 120 hertz. Good news, [abc]HDR10+[/abc] and peak brightness at 2,600 nits are still there. Also note that only two colors are available - black or white - as well as two storage capacities: 128 GB and 256 gigabytes. The Gorilla Glass Victus 2 coating is also still present.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE: processor, storage and battery ££££
Power is provided by the in-house Exynos 2400 Octa Core processor (1 x 3.39 GHz Cortex-X4 + 3 x 3.1 GHz Cortex-A720 + 2 x 2.9 GHz Cortex-A720 + 2 x 2.2 GHz Cortex-A520) engraved in 4nm that was found in the Galaxy S24/S24+ for certain regions, supported by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of Flash memory, as indicated above. We also note a 4,000 mAh battery (compared to 4,300 mAh on the Z Flip 7), wired charging (25 W) and power sharing functions as well as wireless charging compatibility (15 W) and Reverse Charging (4.5 W).
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE: photo and video specifications££££
Introduced with the Galaxy S24 models, the Galaxy AI functions are naturally included, with the addition of the integration of Google Gemini (see photo below). On the camera side, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has three sensors: on the back 50 Mpxls (f/1.8, 23, 23 mm, 1 µm photosite, PDAF, Dual Pixel, stabilized, 2x optical quality zoom) + 12 Mpxls (f/2.2, 13 mm, 1.12 µm, digital zoom up to 10x), plus a 10 Mpxls wide-angle sensor (f/2.2, 23 mm, 1.22 µm) for the selfie camera. For video, recording is guaranteed up to 2160p/30 with slow motion at 240 fps in [abc]1080p[/abc] and 960 fps in [abc]720p[/abc].
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE: audio, connectivity and connectivity section££££
In terms of sound, there are two speakers for stereo reproduction and 384 KHz/32-bit compatibility. In terms of connectivity, there is a [abc]USB[/abc]-C 3.2 port, a fingerprint sensor (on the side), GPS and [abc]Wi-Fi[/abc] 6e, [abc]NFC[/abc] and [abc]Bluetooth[/abc] 5.4 compatibility. Finally, it is the Android 16 operating system that is in charge. IP48 certification (guaranteed waterproofing at a depth of 1.5 m for 30 minutes) is also on the menu.
