Rumors have been circulating for a while that Apple is preparing new connected devices for the home, starting with a screen on the end of a robotic arm planned for 2026/2027, and its less expensive little brother, a simple screen connected to a fixed base.

A device that was initially supposed to be launched in early 2025, then delayed to the end of the year, and which will finally arrive even later, according to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, who had already reported the first delay. The same reason given for this new waiting time: technical difficulties regarding the integration of Siri. More precisely, the product is ready but its operation relies heavily on Siri updates still in development, particularly concerning the exploitation of user data to respond more efficiently to requests.

This device would come with pre-installed apps like the Safari browser, a music player, and a news feed. It would also have a front-facing camera, a rechargeable battery, and a speaker. It's expected to arrive in 2026, when Siri will be able to support it.
