Based on data collected by the Nielsen institute, Bloomberg reports that an original Apple TV+ series has entered the Top 5 US audiences for the first time.
More specifically, it is in the first half of 2025 that Apple TV+ ranks fifth with Severance of course, whose second season was launched at the beginning of the year. The rest of the ranking is naturally occupied by Netflix with three places out of five, and Prime Video also grabs a position. The list of winners: 1. Squid Game (Netflix)
2. Reacher (Prime Video)
3. The Night Agent (Netflix)
4. Ginny & Georgia (Netflix)
5. Severance (Apple TV+)
It's falling for Netflix££££
It's worth noting that the arrival of Apple TV+ in this ranking reflects a declining audience share for Netflix, the platform representing more than 80% of the most watched content in 2021, a figure that fell below 50% in 2025. The reason for this drop: ever-growing competition from other platforms such as Prime Video, HBO, Hulu, Paramount+ and Apple TV+. Finally, it's worth noting that Disney+ does not appear in the Top 10 for this first half of the year. A sign that Star Wars/Marvel fatigue is (finally) starting to set in?
