Samsung, leader of the global TV market still in 2023, for an eighteenth consecutive year!

Samsung still reigns without much sharing in the global TV market in 2023. A domination, as a reminder, which began in 2006 with the launch of the Bordeaux LCD TV range, to then continue with the first LED TV in 2009, the first Smart TV in 2011, the first QLED TV in 2017, the first Neo QLED Mini LED and Micro LED TVs in 2021 and, finally, the first QD Oled TV in 2022.

According to the analysis and market research firm Omdia, Samsung would have marketed 8.31 million QLED and Neo QLED televisions in 2023 and 44 million units since 2017. Likewise, Omdia also specifies that Samsung dominates the large TV segment in 2023 with 33.9% market share on broadcasters of 75% (191 cm) and above and 30.4% on that of 90'' (228 cm) and more. To complete this picture, the Korean firm also specifies that it holds 60.5% market share in value in the premium TV segment, i.e. above 2,500 euros. Concerning the Oled TV market, Samsung Electronics has sold more than a million units, or 22.7% market share.
